Every once in awhile a party comes along that is so much fun and effortless to get people to! This fun Plaid Craft painting party was one of those. I had never heard of Plaid Crafts before this party but have since discovered that their products are sold at Walmart. I will say this party almost wasn't super cool because the company sent the wood panels with a sticker attached right on the face of the board- they were super stick and left behind a TON of residue. I called the company, twice to try to figure it out. We used a blow dryer, steel wool (which scratched the surface) a knife(nope) dish soap with a grease defender (nope) a plastic scrubby- (barely worked and scratched the wood) FINALLY when I was about to cry and throw in the towel I remembered we had some goo be gone stuff. It literally took two seconds with a rag and the residue was off! Although I would recommend NOT doing that in the house next time! So once a month on Thursdays Plaid Crafts has a live painting class via their Facebook page. I wanted to know what supplies we would need for our party and if there was anything I need to do before I hosted my party so Kiah and I decided to paint along with the live video! That lasted all of about five minutes as we fell behind and there is no pause on the live feed so we sketched our star fish on and then wait to paint along the next day so we could pause and rewind! This was so much fun! I really enjoyed the class- as a mom of four who always tells people what to do sometimes it's nice to have someone tell me what to do! The ladies who ran the class did a great job and I love to hear that there are other artist and styles that they do. All the classes are free however they do promote their brand products and colors which is fine for me when these classes locally can run between $20-$30 a night. I think a fun idea would be to make these monthly boxes people could order with all the supplies inside and then they could paint along. It would be a fun gift for myself or my friends. We all had a blast at our party and want to thank Tryazon and Plaid Crafts for allowing us to have so much fun!
