Kleenex product review

I don't know about your family but mine seems to go through a LOT of tissues this time of year. We have actually been pretty fortunate to only have had colds once so far this year but I know more are bound to come with four people in school most days and lots of kids that are sick. I was very happy when I received a box of Kleenex with lotion and also one with the anti-viral one. For years and years I thought I had to use a competitors brand, that they were better than Kleenex brand so I kept handing out more money for a brand I thought was better. However I switched to the Kleenex lotion ones a few years ago and have never had to spend as much money again! I enjoy the lotion ones when I have a really bad runny nose because it keeps my nose from getting raw and to stop chapping before it happens. I also love the anti-viral ones for my kids because they have a hard time remembering to get the kleenex in the trash can and I usually end up picking them up so I feel that maybe I have a lesser chance of getting sick. Simply Scott Natural Toilet Paper #review

I got to try out a new product from Scott and I will say I was a little skeptical. I was worried about how the roll would roll, if that makes sense. After using the product for a week I really didn't notice that much a difference. Sure it rolled a little bumpy but it's really not that big of a deal. I have a feeling that most companies will soon follow suit as it will save them money and make people think they are more green. I think Scott's was pretty smart to jump on this before other companies and for that they will be remembered in the business world. I would recommend this product to those who are trying to find easy ways to be green!

Zep Commercial Cleaning Supplies #review

I was very happy to get to try out some of Zep's products. It was like they knew I was having issues and they just sent me these in the mail! I have needed to clean my microwave for weeks. I am embarrassed to post my "before" pictures here because it was super bad! I have one of those covers people are supposed to use when they heat things in the microwave but it was evident it hadn't been used much. Volleyball made me super busy so I was very behind on cleaning things like the microwave it was all I could do to just pick up the house.

So I used the All Around Oxy Cleaner and Degreaser product to clean the microwave. It said to spray on and then let it sit for one minute and then it should easily wipe off. I am thinking Yeah right this is baked on goodness here it won't work. But I was super impressed it DID work it was the fastest I have ever cleaned my microwave and it was probably the dirtiest it had ever been. It took me all of two minutes to clean and one minute was waiting for the spray to do it's job! I also had a budding artist who took to drawing with crayons on her wall and I sprayed this on the wall and then wiped it off in a one minute. That was a pleasant surprise.
They also sent me Zep Quick Clean Disinfectant which we also need in this house right now as everyone has a cold. I have been going around spraying this on door handles and faucet knobs just trying to knock the germs out of the house! I was very impressed with these products and when I run out I know I will be going to buy some of the full sized bottles in the store.

Wet Ones Antibacterial Hand wipes #review

Well this was the perfect time of year to send this product to my house.

 see this little guy just can NOT stay well. If one of his older siblings comes home and has a slight sniffle he seems to get a cold! Colds that make him end up in the hospital. I was very glad to get to try the Wed Ones Hand wipes. I didn't know that they had a different scent but had fun getting to smell the new one. I really enjoy the scent and I think it does help keep some of those awful germs away from my house. I also like the different options that Wet Hands has set up the original canister type one, little packs that hold probably 10-20 wipes and fits nice in a purse. Then they also have the individual wrapped wipes. I really enjoy them and feel like I doing a lot more with them then I would have when I was a kid. I am not sure if they have worked yet though since we all have colds at our house! However that is probably viral not bacterial. I would suggest using these but I think the problem we have is keeping this as part of our routine.

Dial Acne Control Face Wash #review

I never expected at 18 when I was dealing with breakouts that I would still be experiencing them at age 33. In fact I find it very unfair that I am still dealing with acne and am also dealing with white hairs and wrinkles, how is this even possible? I am always looking for a new product to try out for my face and was super excited to find out that Dial had decided to try their hand at an acne product. First off I love the smell of this product. I could wash my face with it all the time just to smell the smell! The lather is amazing for a face wash. I am always pleasantly surprised when I put this on my face because it just feels like it is working really hard for me. I also like the fact that the product is not too harsh on my face. I don't feel like I am overly dry after using it. As for results- my face is a very difficult one to tame it always has been (that is why I am always looking for the next big thing) after using this product for a week I did notice that my pimples didn't last as long so that was a plus and I am hoping it will continue to help fight against future break outs.

Tazo Chai products

I was introduced to Chai tea about twelve years ago in California at a place this Kansas gal had never heard of (Starbucks) and I fell in love with it there. Fast forward four kids and having lived in a lot of different places there really hasn't been money for YEARS to buy chai tea outside of products I can bring into my own home. So I am always trying to find new products to bring into my home to try. I had never tried the Tazo brand before but was excited to get a chance from Smiley360. I got to try some of their chai from their tea bags and then also got to try some of their concentrated stuff. I 100% prefer the liquid to the tea bags I just feel I get a stronger/better/sweeter flavor that way. I tried the chocolate latte mix first it was so great because you just put equal halves of milk and the concentrate together and microwave. The flavor is great and I LOVE the way this product is delivered. Oh I also saw in the info I received on them that they have a pumpkin spice flavor for this time of year. I better get me one of those before they are gone too!

Purex Crystals Aromatherapy #Giveaway

I have over the past few years gotten to try several different Purex Crystals and I am so happy to be able to tell you about a new line of Crystals from Purex.

When I got the box in the mail I right away picked what color I wanted the most and decided I would like to have either the pink or the blue- opened the box and I got YELLOW! But after using for two weeks worth of laundry I am so glad that is the one I got. Out of all the Purex Crystals I have ever used this is my very favorite smell. I want all my friends who make their homemade detergent to know that if I were to tell you which scent to get to add to your laundry I would choose this one. On my sheet it said we should be able to find these on store shelves as a mid- October so I would like to know if anyone has seen them yet. I am excited to smell the other two.

Best party ever! #vocalpoint #fisher-price

Oh my goodness I have hosted a lot of parties in the past but this one was probably one of the best ones ever. I always love getting new toys but I have never been able to share so many items with my friends.

we got to try out two new toys the Laugh and Learn Smart Stages train and the Laugh and Learn Smart Stages Chair. I was super excited about the train because my almost two year old LOVES trains so I knew this was going to be a success no matter what. I was right, the train not only has sounds and lights it MOVES!!! I love how both toys have three stages for learning because toys are EXPENSIVE and it's so awesome that I can buy my little guy a toy and he will not get tired of it for several more years. I also like that some of the things it talked about involved my kids getting up and moving around. There are three parts to this train so with several kids at the party it was nice to be able to hand the parts out to different kids and they all were entertained. I am not going to lie when I saw the chair I was like, hummm what in the world am I going to do with this and will the kids even like it since it doesn't move? However this toy was such a hit with the kids they all wanted to sit in the chair! I could not believe how happy they were with the chair and how entertaining it was for the kids. I also liked how this product has the three different learning stages which grow with my child. My older kids (ages 4, 6, 8 ) all enjoy the third level of fun. I would recommend both of the toys for mommies to get their kiddos.

Truvia brown sugar #yaybrown

Since I hosted a Truvia lemonade stand Truvia wanted to send me some of their newest product which I was extremly happy to try for them. Truvia has come out with their own line of brown sugar! I was so excited and the day I got it I had planned to make cookies anyways so it was perfect. I used the truvia sugar and brown sugar and was excited to see how they would taste. I thought that with all honesty the flavor was almost exactly like my regular recipe, I don't think if I served them to anyone they would notice a difference in taste. I wish I could be told how many calories are saved per cookie because when I eat cookies I love to eat a ton of cookies :) I have only one complaint since you use less product because somehow it still tastes the same but your other ingredients seem to be more, not sure if that makes since but you don't end up with quite as much product. My usual recipe of cookies makes 36 this recipe only made 30 so because of using smaller amounts of my sugar and brown sugar it made less cookies. I am not really complaining about that but people need to think about that when they use it because some may want to adjust a bit of the other ingredients as well. I am so excited that no one notices the difference that I will be using this product all the time.

#Kingsfordcrew product review

I was so excited to get to have a party with my favorite people with some Kingsford product over Labor Day weekend. I have a Kingsford grill as you can see in the picture. It is our awesome grill that I won in a grocery store giveaway about 20 years ago! My parents kept it in storage for us until a few years ago so it is still in really nice shape. I have to say we are always careful with our money so we often try store or off-brand products and we learned the hard way that there is no substitute for Kingsford charcoal. We were to the point where we just thought we didn't know what we were doing but it turns out that cheap charcoal just doesn't do the job. We will only ever buy Kingsford grilling products again.

Skintimate® Mandarin Burst Moisturizing Shave Gel Review

I was excited to get to try this FRESH new product from Skintimate- I love the summery smell and I also loved how creamy it goes onto my legs. I love how silky smooth my legs felt after I was done as well. I also think the product is priced great. I huge bottle for only 3 bucks and if you are like me that will last you a long time!

Well Beginnings Baby product review

I got the chance to try out Well Beginning baby products from Walgreens thanks to Mom's Meet and I have to say when I found out I gotten this opportunity I was super excited because their products had caught my eye but I was nervous to try them. I had also seen an amazing deal they had run that had these diapers on some kind of sale that they were super cheap. I have to say I was very impressed with the diapers and the wipes. I will give a short review about all of the products we received. We got the diapers and noticed that they don't bunch or get too loose in the middle which is a problem that I have always had with a few brands my kids have used. These had a great fit and stayed fitting great even after they had something in them. No sagging here! The diapers also have vitamin E and aloe in them to keep Javan's little bottom protected. I also found out that through size two the diapers have the wetness indicator on them. And I don't know about anyone else but when they invented that I thought it was just about the coolest thing ever.

I LOVED the wipes- I like a thicker wipe which these are for sure and I also though the textured design on them actually helped with what it was supposed to help with. So that is always a plus. We also go to try the baby wash which Javan seemed to like. I enjoyed the light scent and thought it worked great. The last product we got was the pediatric electrolyte solution- I am very cautious about how often and when I give this to my kiddos that we haven't actually used it yet, but the bottle looks great and I was very happy to know that Walgreens sells it. Another good thing to note is that all of these great product are made right here in the USA, you can't say that about many companies anymore.

Well we had a fun time this weekend hosting a Lemonade stand at our house. The kids were great and helped to make the sign for me.

Truvia and crowdtap sent me a full sized baking blend pack and a full sized spoon able truvia product. I was very skeptical of the product making my cookies taste different. I have been making the same cookies since I was a jr in high school I was going to notice. Yet after using the product I DIDN'T notice. I was impressed. We also made freshly squeezed lemonade mad lemon limeade and they also tasted really awesome. The Truvia package said that you can have the same great taste with 75% less calories and I have to say I really was impressed. Dial Coconut Water Refreshing Mango Body Wash review and giveaway

If you have read any of my other blog posts you will know already that I LOVE dial products. Spellbinders Celebra'tions Review and Giveaway

I used to be a HUGE scrapbooker and my friend and I would get together every Saturday and she would work on her cards and I would work on my scrapbook. We both have since moved from the place where we used to do that so I haven't been quite as crafty as of late. But Purex sent me a product to try and now I get to tell you about. Also one of the companies I previously bought my scrapbooking craft stuff isn't around any more so it's always fun to find a new company with new ideas. Cetaphil product review

So thankful for Crowdtap to let me get to try some of their products and then even better I got to share them with my friends and family.

My very favorite product I got to try were the cleansing cloths- I will admit it I am LAAAAZY when it comes to getting my face clean. I want something super easy and most days I don't wear makeup just because I don't want to wash it off! But with this product it is super easy to just pull one out and use it and then toss it, no waiting for the water to warm up, no suds in the eyes perfect. I also like to use them after I shower after a run just because I always feel even though I've been in the shower my face just still feels dirty deep down so I enjoy just using one of these right after I shower! 

I also got to try the daily facial moisturizer, I haven't actually gotten into a routine with it yet so my opinion is undecided but I enjoyed the few days I did use it. I have SUPER sensitive skin on my face and just about any product will cause a break out but this product added the moisture without adding the excess oil that some products do. Finally I got to try the body wash. 

Now as sensitive as my facial skin is the rest of my body is not so I personally didn't feel like I needed this product (I love a TON of scent and this is not scented but I had a friend who was so happy to get to try some because she says it is the only product that helps against her eczema, so knowing that I would totally recommend the product to people. I also think as a mom I bought expensive (in my mind) unscented baby wash for my youngest because he had really sensitive skin for about three months and then I was left with all this baby product, this is nice because anyone in the family can use it. I was very impressed with Cetaphil's Gentle Power.

Capri Sun

So have you ever wondered what was in a Capri Sun? I mean they kind of had the mysterious silver pouches that you couldn't see through with the tiny straws. Well no Capri Sun has added a clear bottom to those pouches so you can see what you are giving your kids. We enjoy this product especially in the summer. They are fun to pop into the freezer and then eat as a popsicle as well. My kids love all the great tastes and I love that now some of the choices are 100% juice.

Herbal Essence Makes body wash?

Say whaaaaat?

it's true Herbal Essence has designed a product line of body washes. I have been able to try two of the new scents. The hello Hydration that is pictured and another one called body burst (it's orange) I have always been a fan of the HE brand- loving the scent it leaves behind on my hair so I was simply delighted when I found out they were going to have body wash. I enjoyed both scents very much and I did believe that the hydration one seemed to keep my skin fairly hydrated. I love little indulgences like good smelling body wash so I was happy to get to try this product.

Purex Crystals Dryer Sheets Review and GIVEAWAY!

I just have to say I have so much fun getting to try every Purex product under the sun and then getting to share my experiences with you. We even got the high school grads we got invites from a honkin HUGE bottle of Purex this weekend at Target. I think they have enough for 133 loads- Kjell's like that's a whole year for college kids! Anyways back to this dryer sheet- as soon as I opened the box my whole kitchen and living room took on this scent. It was EXTREMELY powerful. In the promo Purex says they can keep our whole house smelling fresh and they were not kidding! Kjell was complaining of a stinky room at school and I told him he might just want to take one of these sheets. Ok so since it did smell up the house so much I was a teeeny bit worried that the smell was going to be that strong on the clothes. Purex No Sort for Colors Review and Giveaway

Justus has two major jobs at our house. Cleaning his own room and helping me sort laundry every Thursday or Friday. Yes I am that mom who still with a family of six washes all the clothes on the same day. The morning we were to do laundry I told Justus how we weren't going to have to sort the clothes this week, then I handed him the bottle. Words like AMAZING and WOW THIS IS MAGIC came out of his mouth! He also said, "mom, Purex should have sent you two bottles!" Let me tell you I will not get away with buying anything else as long as this kid is helping me with the laundry! The bottle tells us that the detergent can trap loose dyes and reduces dye bleeding chances not allowing them to settle onto other clothing items.. It DOES however state it is in fact not magic (sorry Justus) and new "strongly" colored clothes or jeans should be washed at least five times with like items before you can trust that it wont cause bleeding. 

I enjoyed the product a lot. I actually threw in each kid's basket as a load and then had that kid's stuff all done so hypothetically I could just wash, dry and fold it all and get it put in their room before the next load. However with four kids most moms know that just doesn't usually happen that way. So yes I got all the laundry washed before lunch. Which is good I usually have the last load out by 2. It really seemed to save me a lot of clothes. My only issue which isn't really a big deal is- I don't know if I have/had any clothes in there that could have transferred dye or not. We are super frugal when it comes to clothes so most are either old, garage sale finds or hand me downs!  However I really did feel I gained an extra hour of my life that day and that is well worth it. I am so type A though I am not sure how much I enjoy just tossing it in. (yes I know I am weird)

Mom's Night Out Movie Review and Giveaway

Viva Vantage paper towels

Thanks to Crowdtap I got to try a roll of Viva Vantage paper towels. They have a new texture to give them more scrubbing power! I really enjoyed them and was impressed how well they worked on some of my toughest jobs. I tested them against a store brand with a table spoon of water on the table and then mopped it up just like the commercials! I could really tell the difference as soon as I picked up the store brand one it felt heavier and it ripped. The Viva roll didn't seem as heavy- the water was completely sopped up and then it took me pulling for a long time to get it to pull apart. I will be buying them again.

Purex Pet Detergent

Now I don't have a pet but I know that many of my readers to so Purex has heard your cries for detergent that you can use for your pet's clothes.

Purex Crystals- fabulously fresh GIVEAWAY!

I have to say I have gotten to try several of the different Purex Crystals in wash fragrance boosters over the past three years and I have liked all of them... but I have NEVER loved one like I love this one. First off the color of the crystals- they are neon green I love it they were so pretty! I also just LOVED the smell I am not really sure how to describe it, only that when I opened my washer after I was done- I opened the door to spring. I was excited to use this along with another Purex product I had that is also in the picture the joint smell was amazing. There is a reason it is called Fabulously Fresh- because it is! Dial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap GIVEAWAY!

I was super excited to get to try out Dial's new line of hand soap. If you have read any of my past blogs you know how much I love Dial and how I grew up with them in my family. The soaps have gentle micro-scrubbers in them that make me feel like my hands are getting really clean. They also come in three fun scents. I was able to try out two of them. The three they have are Yellow Raspberry and Black Sugar- this one was by far the family favorite of the two we tried, Coconut Lime Verbena is another one we also tried this one and loved the bright green color. The one we did not get to try is called Water Blossoms and they say it has  a crisp floral scent. I love how the product is supposed to improve my skin's dryness. At this time of year I really need a soap that can do this or else my hands can get sooo super dry. The micro-scrubbers make my hands feel super smooth after each use as well. I was impressed with the shape of the bottles too. I generally buy my hand soaps from Bath and Body Works just because I like the shapes of the bottles but I thought these fit right in with the bit fancier bottles. Dial Vitamin Boost Body Wash GIVEAWAY!!!

I always love to try new body wash products and I am so happy that Dial has started adding new scents/products to this category. I was raised on Dial soap as a kid so I a glad that they have added new products because I have always trusted them to take good care of me. So I was very excited when my favorite friend the FedEx guy showed up with this awesome product

I was very excited for color first of it because I got it right around the time Seattle was in the Super Bowl and frankly the color looked just liked the Seattle Seahawks!! I was also excited to read on the back of the bottle about an "advanced moister-attracting formula for lasting, lightweight hydration". I had to try it out to see if it held up to my guilty pleasure HOT HOT baths. I enjoy turning the temp of my water about as hot as possible where I can barely stand to be in there and then soak until it gets warm. This is so relaxing for me but incredibly hard on my skin. I was impressed with how the product held up. I didn't feel as dry as I usually do when I got out of the tub and one day I wasn't able to use it and I could totally tell the difference.  The green bottle says Lotion infused and has vitamin B Complex in it and the orange one has a grapefruit on it and is Oil Infused and also has Vitamin C I would love to smell the orange one as well. Such a good body wash and so glad to get to try it. I have two free product coupons to give away you can enter on here or on my facebook post about it as well. Pampers Swaddlers in size 4 and 5

I have to admit- when my babies are first born I am pretty much a diaper snob. I enjoy Pampers Swaddlers because I feel they do the best and keeping those tiny tushes as dry as possible given what they have to go through! So I was pretty excited to hear that they were now going to carry bigger sizes. Crowdtap gave me two coupons to use to try them out and I really liked them. They are the same quality as the smaller sizes and were exactly what I want in a disposable diaper. Javan was happy to get to share them with a friend- too bad they couldn't get together that day though. Javan had a horrible cough and they had the flu run through their family. But I think we were all excited to get to try the new sizes of Pampers Swaddlers.

Crystals Fresh Mountain Breeze Giveaway and Sweepstake

I hadn't had a fun Purex product to share with my readers in a long time so I was really excited to get to try this product for them these past two weeks. I am a person who truly loves a lot of scent in my laundry so when Purex introduced these fun Crystals I was very excited. I enjoyed the scent of this one, I love using it on my towels and sheets the most but it's even nice to have on any clothes we wear as well. I like how the formula is safe for me to use on everyone in the family so I can do my laundry the way I usually do it not by person in the family. I am so excited to have my first giveaway of 2014 with this product. I will select three winners and here is how you can enter- this is not the first time I have gotten to try Purex Crystals- they come with this cute lid you can use to measure the amount of the laundry enhancer you want to use but for some reason (I have had three of these) the lid always falls between the washer and the dryer. It is possible to get out but it takes a broom stick and about 3 minutes of time so I usually don't do it. So I noticed this summer that I had the little pads that came in my swimsuit top sitting there so I started measuring the Crystals into that whenever I need to put it in the laundry. It seems to be the exact right size!! So anyways here is how you can enter.
