Spin Master Games Review

Thanks to Spin Master and Tryazon we were able to try three very fun "board games" these last few week. I use the term board loosely because none of the three games actually had a board that you play on! The first game is called the sock game. This can be a two player to multiple player game. The object of the game is to find items in a long sock using just one hand before someone on the other team is able to find it. This game can be played by young and old and the socks are super cute! As in if they weren't for a game I would totally wear them. This is a fun game and the kids really enjoy it but grandparents can get in on the fun too.

The second game is called Reverse Charades- This was probably the family favorite of the three games- it is like charades minus the fact that there is only one person not acting the words out and the rest of the team is trying to help the person guess. This can turn quite hilarious as since there is no speaking allowed it can be hard for people to know how to work them out together. We had many laughs when we played this game. It was even funny making this collage! I laughed so hard.

The final game is Headbands- I had heard of this game but had never played. This is where team members put a card on their head so that everyone else can see it and then have to try to guess what the object is, with words like apple, cup, bear and dog I thought it would be a bit easier to guess but it often took several rounds for a player to get one correct. We really enjoyed all three of these games and are very happy to have added them to our collection.

#TinkeringForAll #Tinkeringlabs Review and Pictures!

I had never heard of Tinkering Labs before we were able to host this party for Tryazon. These kits retail for about $50 and they come with several tools and gadgets to build things with.  I thought they would be more like lego kits where kids would follow directions but they are more about trying to have kids design things on their own and seeing what they can come up with giving only a challenge card for them to try to find some inspiration. A couple of the kids thought this was too hard and weren't too interested in trying to find a working product after failing several times. But my nine year old daughter stuck with it and made a working product! I think these kits are perfect for kids who want to be challenged and enjoy problem solving. It was for sure different than what these kids were used to since they had no directions to follow. I plan to donate both of my kits to the STEM club at my children's school and see what they can come up with! Thank you Tryazon and Tinkering Labs for this opportunity!

Rituals Advent Calendar Review #RitualsUSA #Tryazon

What a TREAT! I found out about the Rituals Advent Calendar last year and was really tempted to buy one as a treat for myself. They are priced at $75 so I waited for this year and then I actually got one from Rituals and Tryazon to try and share with my readers. I have tried several other Rituals products but there are so many different scents in their line that I was super excited to get to try this box out so I could sample many of their scents. The products did not disappoint for week one we started with an advent candle to light, which was then followed by some bath foam, bar soap, body scrub, body spray, face mask, and overnight hand treatment. I have loved all the products but so far the overnight hand cream (green bottle) has my favorite scent and job! I love how it makes my hands feel so I even started putting it on my dry winter feet and they love it as well. This box retails for $75 but the amount of product that is in is is around $150! Plus it's a great way to sample many of the different product lines that Rituals carries. I can not wait to see what else is in this amazing box! Thank you RitualsUSA and Tryazon for allowing me to try this amazing product out!

Meribel and Tryazon party and Review

If you are looking for a fuzzy and fun gift for your child this Christmas season look no further than Meribel Designs. We got the dog which is a pick a boo animal. The cute little dog sings a song "Do your ears hang low" and then the ears move up and down! My youngest (age 6) loves it. I think age six and down is perfect. Now the walkie talkie pig- EVERYONE loved the pig! You hit a button and then say something and the pig repeats what you say in a high pitched voice! My kids loved it and we even had adults who had a lot of fun with it as well. We also really loved the slippers- my oldest and I were a bit disappointed because even though they say one size fits most we were size 10s and they do not fit people with size ten and up feet! I really liked the coffee mug- the smoothness of the mug and I would love to gift these with other sayings on it for my friends. Thanks Meribel and Tryazon for the opportunity to host this party!

Diamond Dotz Tryazon Party Review

I had never heard of Diamond Dotz, but when Tryazon sent out the email for a Diamond Dotz party I knew my girls would enjoy this new craft and I had many friends who enjoyed our last "craft night." These were SO. MUCH. FUN! I tell you what I had no idea I was going to enjoy something as much as I did this. We were sent three shapes a butterfly, heart flower, and a four leaf clover. I think one of the main reasons I enjoyed them is because I always like doing color by numbers and puzzles  and this reminded me of both of those things.. These small ones took between an hour and an hour and a half to complete.

The little "diamonds" get picked up by a diamond pencil and then you transfer them on to sticky paper that is coded so you know what goes on that spot. We said the substance was kind of like fly paper. The diamonds are little so we had a friend suggest putting them in a pill case- which is an amazing idea. I may have to do that if we get some of the bigger ones.

Everyone enjoyed doing them and now my girls want bigger ones for Christmas (I think I do too!) I did discover that they are NOT new I just didn't know that many of the people that came to my party had heard of them before and my posts on social media led me to more people who had done them. I know they can be found on the diamonddotz.com web page, and also at Joann's and Hobby Lobby.

Match-O-Rama Game Review

What a fun game! We have tried many games from The OP and have found some favorites that way. This game is a fun matching game with a little bit of a gambling (not for real money just for points) an example of a card is something you buy in bulk, something you order for breakfast, a tv game show and you try to match with someone else that is playing you have to guess how far apart your match person is. It sounds more complicated than it really is. We have played Blank Slate in the past (from the same company) and I think I prefer that game but we have enjoyed the game and know we will play it for years to come.
Thank you Match-O-Rama and Tryazon for our free sample of this game.

Astro-Trash board game #Review

Board games are one of my very favorite things- so are time lapse videos. Astro trash is a game from USAopoly and the point of the game is to try to make your planet clean but cleaning trash off your planet, putting it onto the sun, or giving your trash to your neighboring planet so they can deal with it. Now, while this doesn't sound very environmentally friendly OR ethical it makes for a very fun board game! Each person starts with ten pieces of trash and then the fun begins. There are three dice one that has a number 1,2 or 3 on it, one that has a color on it that matches the trash colors, and one that has a L for left an R for right, a picture of the sun for placing it in the middle, and a ? which means the piece of trash can be given to any one that the player chooses. Th first person to clean their planet is the winner of that round and the game is played until one player has earned 3 first place finishes. This game says ages 6+ and I would tend to agree with that. My youngest is 6 and we had to start every game reminding him which hand is his left and which is his right. This is a GREAT game for learning that! The game can be played with 2-5 players and take about 15-30 minutes to finish a full game but can easily be made into a game where after one round the game is over. The pieces are super fun shapes and sizes. All four of my kids ages 6, 9, 10, and 13 thought it was fun and I enjoyed playing it with them.

Thank you Tryazon and USAopoly for giving us this game to try out with our family and friends.

Sambucol Back to School

Back to school is here and along with that is the start of the spread of germs. Sambucol is an immunity support that comes in many different forms. The products are made with the black elderberry and was developed in 1991. The sample products they sent were of the gummies. But I was also excited to have the throat lozenges and the cold and flu medicine. Is it funny that I am excited to get the flu to see if the meds work? Just kidding I don't really want to get sick but I am excited to see how this medicine works. I like how it is all natural so I feel it is safe for me to share with everyone in my family. Thank you to Tryazon and Sambucol for allowing me to try this with my friends and family. It is always fun to get to try something to make us all healthy this school season!

Penless QR Sticker Review

Penless is a few new company that wants you to "Up your gifting game." How do they want you to do that? They want you to buy their cute QR stickers and attach them with birthday, anniversary, and wedding presents. It is a neat idea. How does it work? As the owner of the stickers the Penless app needs to be downloaded. Then I was able to make a video with my phone and the app, then I scan the QR code and attach the sticker to whatever I am giving to my gift receiver. In this case (they also sent bookmarks) I made a bookmark for Kiah on her first day of school telling her to have a great day. We figured out that she does not need the app just a cell phone that will take a QR code and open what is attached to the code. Some other fun ideas were some traveling ones that they have and for those who may still do scrapbooking if a fun video was taken on vacation it can easily be attached to your book and that memory will always be just one click away.
Thank you Penless and Tryazon for letting my frineds and I try this fun product. Everything I received here was free in exchange for me sharing and reviewing the product.

Tryazon and DynaTrap focus group and review

We have had a lot of rain in Kansas- my neighbors say more rain than they know of in the last 29 years so it's been a big deal. With that much rain it brings a lot of flying bugs and mosquitoes which no one wants around. DynaTrap is a company who thinks they have a solution to getting rid of these bugs in a non chemical way and when using the products they seem to work very well! Here is what they sent me (click on the links and you can see the product and price for yourself!)
  • DT150 Ultralight Indoor Insect Trap
  • DT160 ¼ Acre Outdoor Insect Trap
  • DT1050 ½ Acre Outdoor Insect Trap
  • Dynazap Electric Bug Zapper
  •  Dynatrap FlightLight Indoor Fly Trap
I have a friend who has been testing the 1/2 acre one and they just recently moved to a farm. They said they had a lot of bugs after 24 hours and then after waiting a few days they had almost a full bucket! So they believe it is working. I have the Indoor flytrap set up in my kitchen and we have caught a lot of little bugs- not a whole lot of flies but I feel almost like it's too hot for flies so I am excited to see how it works in the fall! The indoor light one is basically just a sticky sheet and a blue light that draws the bugs into the sticky trap but the nice thing about it the bugs is you can't see them unless you pull out the sheet. My kids have enjoyed the electric bug zapper- we may be using that more than on just bugs (I do not recommend that although it is not extremely painful.) Thank you DynaTrap and Tryazon for letting me and my friends try out these amazing products. I know we are thankful for less bugs!

Tryazon and Plaid Crafts #LetsPaint Party

Every once in awhile a party comes along that is so much fun and effortless to get people to! This fun Plaid Craft painting party was one of those. I had never heard of Plaid Crafts before this party but have since discovered that their products are sold at Walmart. I will say this party almost wasn't super cool because the company sent the wood panels with a sticker attached right on the face of the board- they were super stick and left behind a TON of residue. I called the company, twice to try to figure it out. We used a blow dryer, steel wool (which scratched the surface) a knife(nope) dish soap with a grease defender (nope) a plastic scrubby- (barely worked and scratched the wood) FINALLY when I was about to cry and throw in the towel I remembered we had some goo be gone stuff. It literally took two seconds with a rag and the residue was off! Although I would recommend NOT doing that in the house next time! So once a month on Thursdays Plaid Crafts has a live painting class via their Facebook page. I wanted to know what supplies we would need for our party and if there was anything I need to do before I hosted my party so Kiah and I decided to paint along with the live video! That lasted all of about five minutes as we fell behind and there is no pause on the live feed so we sketched our star fish on and then wait to paint along the next day so we could pause and rewind! This was so much fun! I really enjoyed the class- as a mom of four who always tells people what to do sometimes it's nice to have someone tell me what to do! The ladies who ran the class did a great job and I love to hear that there are other artist and styles that they do. All the classes are free however they do promote their brand products and colors which is fine for me when these classes locally can run between $20-$30 a night. I think a fun idea would be to make these monthly boxes people could order with all the supplies inside and then they could paint along. It would be a fun gift for myself or my friends. We all had a blast at our party and want to thank Tryazon and Plaid Crafts for allowing us to have so much fun!

Bubbleezz Tryazon Party and Review

My kids were so excited to hear that we were going to be hosting this party. However they were a bit bummed when we had to give most of the Bubbleezz away. I had only seen these before when Tryazon had another party for them last year so I had several friends ask me online when we got the party what this product even was. I told them it was a lot like orbeezz and a squishy made a baby and right now those two products are VERY popular at my house! These cute little guys came in many different shapes and colors and are fun for both boys and girls. Some of our shapes were fruit, a monster and a mermaid cat? My kids all thought that one was super cute! Everything about them LOOKS good and fun and they are mesmerizing to hold and play with but this momma does have a few concerns about the products. Unfortunately the plastic was super sticky, so everything stuck to it. I kept telling my friends you won't really enjoy these if you have a pet because they will pick up all the animal fur. My daughter just decided hers got a bath when she did and that kept it fairly clean. Also my daughter was bummed when her brother played a bit to hard with hers and it popped a super small hole in it so they also don't last a super long time. The price point on these is anywhere from $5-$15 and that price is based on size. We kept one of the big ones so if I had bought it I would have been disappointed in how quickly it popped. However even with my concerns my kids loved them, their friends were excited to get them and now we keep seeing them in the store all the time and they want to add more!
Thank you Tryazon and Bubbleezz for letting us try these products for free. All the words here are my own.

Merkury Innovations Tryabox review

I just got done trying these Merkury Innovations' products out. I have mixed reviews, mostly I love them. However, there are a few points where I had some issues that did not get resolved. However if a person is looking for affordable "smartness" added to their house you can not go wrong with these products! In order to use all these products an app called Geeni must be downloaded and everything is controlled within that app.

I am going to start with the smart plug. This product has been awesome! The first time I used it was to scare the kids with a light that went off and on when Kjell and I were not home, but after that it has become practical in that we can turn a light on from a different city when we are away so that it looks like we are home, or when we get home late at night from somewhere I can touch a button on my phone and we will walk into a house with a light on. I see us using this product with our Christmas tree moving forward because we really enjoy having those lights on until we go to bed, now I will be able to shut it off from our bedroom! My only complaint about this product is- we just bought an electrical outlet that has two USB ports- well this smart outlet is a bit bulky so it can not be plugged in at the same time we are charging any of our devices. It would be fine if it were a normal outlet but that is not where I wanted to plug it in! (Price $10)

Moving on to the camera. This was a lot of fun, and the kids still have no idea that we have it. Well they may have some idea as we have used it to spy on them, and caught a candy thief hasn't quite figured out how we caught them yet. This has a motion detector on it that I set up notifications to get sent to my phone and then I can see the movement. It also has sound so you can hear the stuff going on and there is a way for the person on the app to communicate with the people being videoed. Once our kids actually know about this part of the feature it will be nice because they don't have a phone so when we leave there is minimal communication. My issue with this- and I sent an email that went unanswered to the company and then looked for a phone number to call so I could have it resolved before posting this review is that for the few times I use it, if it doesn't detect something for over an hour it seems to just get tired and not work anymore. I kind of thought the point of it was to use it when a person is not home and sometimes that may mean no movement for a few hours- I just feel it should still have the motion sensor working and the camera should work as well.  (Priced $25)

The lightbulb- I am going to be honest with you. We haven't figured out a room that we want a dimmer on a light yet. I have seen several other people post about this product and they show how it works it's just like a dimmer switch that is controlled with your phone. I think if I found the perfect spot for it it would be a great product but right now I just don't know where to put it! (Priced $13)

Overall I like these products. I have been comparing them in prices to comparable brands and these seem to be a lot more affordable than some of the other options out there. But I do feel that because they are a bit cheaper you lose some of the bells and whistles (this is mainly just my feelings about the camera not sure what else needs to be added to the lightbulb and the smart outlet. These products are all available at Walmart so not hard to get your hands on!

Thank you Merkury Innovations and Tryazon for allowing me the opportunity to try these products for free in exchange for my review. All the words stated here are my own.

February was an awesome month as far as online work goes. There is a new company that has me interview people- the fun part about this is BOTH people get paid. So I spend about twenty minutes with my friend and we each got $25 they also sent a report card! I have some work to do!
